The Importance of College 101
A short informative video on why you should take College 101 in your first term
This was a short two-minute video created for a school project in my Professional Studio Experience class. The goal was to create an educational video explaining why students should take College 101 during their first two terms at Clark.
The project started with two separate groups, each creating storyboards and gathering footage. Luckily, we had a script to work with that was already provided to us. Group A worked on scenes 1-6, and Group B worked on scenes 7-11.
My role in the Group A was the storyboarder! I was in charge of creating the visual ideas so that when it came to filming we would have a better idea on camera angles, ideas, and general things we wanted to include.
Both groups then came together to share everything—storyboards, assets, and video clips. From there, each student took the shared materials and edited their own unique version of the video. It felt like a real-world experience, especially since only one final video would be chosen in the end. My version made it into the top 5! Although it wasn’t the final pick, I really enjoyed the process and loved the two versions that ended up being combined to create the final video.
