Nice to meet you, I’m Shelby.
I love art in any form. What I’ve discovered through my study of art is that I get satisfaction from challenging tasks. I enjoy finishing a project and then being able to say I did it. I’ve also learned about myself that I’m willing to persevere and take the time necessary to accomplish anything. I find that the time I’ve been in my college program, the art projects feel fun, challenging, and engaging. Most assignments don’t feel like work assignments. I enjoy the freedom of being able to have a prompt, and then be as creative as possible.
I’ve learned that there are things I’m afraid of trying, but in the end, I am able to overcome those fears. Once I start doing something that I’m hesitant to try, I’m usually able to succeed at it. I am always willing to try new things in order to enhance the skills and experiences that will further develop my learning.
